What arrives at your door: discreet delivery explained

Ordering something intimate should feel exciting, not nerve-racking. If you've ever hovered over the checkout wondering what the postie, your flatmate or your neighbour might see, this guide is for you. Here's exactly what happens between you pressing "buy" and the parcel landing on your doormat, with no small print and no surprises.

What the parcel looks like

Every order ships in a plain, unbranded parcel. There's nothing on the outside to show what's inside or where it has come from. No logo, no product names, no cheeky slogans. To anyone else it looks like any other online order.

That's it. We don't think you should have to explain your shopping to anyone, and the packaging is designed so you never have to.

A few small things on your side can make it even easier:

• Pick the right address. If you share a house or a post room, you might prefer to send it to a place where you're comfortable collecting post.
• Choose a service that suits your day. If you'd rather be in when it arrives, a faster or tracked option helps you plan.
• Open it somewhere private. Obvious, perhaps, but worth a mention if it's a gift for someone you live with.

UK delivery options and prices

You can choose the speed that suits you at checkout:

• Standard delivery: 2 to 3 working days, £3.99
• Free standard delivery on orders of £50 or more
• Royal Mail Tracked 48: £4.75
• Royal Mail Tracked 24: £5.75
• DPD Next Working Day: £6.99

If you're close to £50, it can be worth adding the everyday bits you'll use anyway. A bottle of Loving Joy Slide Water Based Lubricant 100ml (£5.99) or Loving Joy Cleanse Sex Toy Cleaner 250ml (£8.99) is useful to have in the drawer, and might tip your basket over the free delivery line.

When your order leaves us

Orders placed before 1pm, Monday to Friday, are usually dispatched the same working day. That makes a real difference when you're buying for a date night, a birthday or a weekend away.

The delivery times above are counted in working days, so if you order later in the day, or over a weekend or bank holiday, allow a little extra time. If a date really matters, the simplest plan is:

1. Order before 1pm on a weekday.
2. Choose Royal Mail Tracked 24 or DPD Next Working Day.
3. Make sure someone can take the parcel in, or that the address is one you're happy with.

If you like to know where things are, choose one of the Royal Mail Tracked services at checkout. Tracked 48 and Tracked 24 let you follow the parcel on its way, so you're not left refreshing your inbox or listening out for the door all day.

Standard delivery is the budget-friendly option and is a good fit when you're not in a rush.

Ordering from outside the UK

We deliver further afield too:

• EU: £15.99, usually 3 to 10 working days
• Rest of the world: £26.99, usually 7 to 10 working days

International parcels go out in the same plain, unbranded packaging as UK orders. If you're buying for a particular date, give yourself plenty of breathing room.

If something isn't right: returns in brief

We want you to be happy with what you order. The short version of our returns policy:

• You have 14 days to cancel your order.
• Items must be unused and still sealed to be returned.
• For hygiene reasons, opened hygiene-sealed items can't be returned unless they're faulty.
• Faulty items are covered for 12 months.
